Dona Oak is a sacred tree that has been worshiped as a symbol of vitality and longevity since the days of the
Habsburg Dynasty, which flourished in Austria in Eastern Europe. In ancient Greece, it is said that oak was the
first tree created by the gods, and oak furniture has been excavated from ruins from the Greco-Roman era.
The oak used in our premium line is carefully selected from among hundreds of species, only those grown in the
Danube River basin. For 200 to 300 years, “management that does not require too much effort’’ has been carried
out, with maintenance carried out once every 10 years, creating a rich forest made only of trees grown from
seeds that naturally fell in this forest.
Compared to mass-produced oak from the United States or China, it is attractive because it has a consistently
high level of quality, with beautiful colors and grains.
The high-quality oak trees, which have been loved since the days when the Habsburgs ruled the area, are
systematically felled after growing in their natural environment for over 100 years. We have passed it down to
this day as a rare Dona oak.
