Japanese Cedar is an endemic species that grows only in Japan, and it has been deeply involved in the lives of
Japanese people for a long time, making it an indispensable part of our lives.
In particular, Akita is a major cedar producing area, and natural Akita cedar has been counted as one of Japan’s
three most beautiful forests, along with Kiso cypress and Aomori cypress.
Natural Akita cedar is a tree species that belongs to the Ura-Japanese cedar family, and those grown in the
Yoneshiro River basin in the northern part of Akita Prefecture are characterized by their bright red color,
gloss, light weight, and high elasticity.
The supply of natural Akita cedar ended in 2012, but a planned supply of artificially managed and planted Akita
cedar has started, and high-quality Akita cedar is being stably shared.
For the premium line, we carefully selected logs from trees that are between 70 and 100 years old, and carefully
selected materials that are fine-grained and knotless with a moderate amount of white wood mixed in.
